The Madhus name encompasses of multiple tyre stores across Mysore and Bangalore, continuing its legacy of excellence in tyre retail and service. Through the collective efforts of the Madhu’s family and their shared vision, Madhus evolved from a trusted name in the tyre industry into a brand with a significantly larger presence.
Today, the Madhus legacy continues to evolve. Under the leadership of Mr. Ravi BM, Mrs Meera Ravi, and Mr. Nikhil B, the company has established a very strong presence for Madhus Tyre Service, Madhus Garage Equipment and now expanded into the world of automobile refinishing with the launch of Madhus Bodyshop—a state-of-the-art painting and refinishing facility. With a focus on delivering impeccable paint finishes, this new venture upholds the same high standards of quality and excellence that define the Madhus name.
With the third generation at the helm, guided by their mentors and supported by the family, that legacy continues to grow, evolve, and set new standards for the future.From tyres to garage equipment to automobile refinishing, the Madhus journey is one of constant evolution—rooted in a legacy of innovation, customer focus, and a passion for excellence.
Mr. Madhusudhana Rao Bungale
Mr. Madhusudan Rao Bangale, the founder of Madhus, was born in Mysore and began his entrepreneurial journey at a very young age. While in college, he worked to become self-reliant, starting in a small shop that sold mill parts. In 1951, he took a bold step by purchasing the shop, renaming it 'Madhus Mill Stores and Automobiles,' and expanding into the tyre business.
With a clear vision and strong work ethics, he transformed his shop into one of Karnataka's most successful tyre businesses, earning recognition from companies across India. Alongside his business achievements, he remained a devoted family man. His son, Mr. BM Ravi, took over managing the Bangalore store in the 1970s.

After Mr. Madhusudan Rao Bungale's passing, his son, Mr. Ravi BM, moved to Bangalore at just 17 years old to take on the responsibility of managing the tyre shop his father had left behind. While balancing his work at the tyre shop, Mr. Ravi attended evening college to pursue his B.Com degree.
In 1981, he founded Madhus Enterprises on Langford Road, initially starting as a Dunlop Tyre Service Centre. His vision revolutionized tyre retail by introducing a customer-friendly space with ample parking and cutting-edge services. His store quickly became a trendsetter in the industry, setting new standards for automotive care.
Mr. Ravi’s shop became a benchmark for the industry, offering customer convenience at its core. It was designed with plenty of parking, a dedicated service area, and state-of-the-art wheel services, including precise wheel alignment and balancing—transforming the tyre retail experience.
A hands-on owner, Mr. Ravi was directly involved in the day-to-day operations, performing wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and tyre changes with meticulous skill and expertise. His technical knowledge and commitment to quality service laid the foundation for Madhus’ stellar reputation. Beyond the shop, Mr. Ravi’s passion for excellence led him to the race track in Chennai, where he worked tirelessly to ensure optimal performance for racing cars by overseeing wheel alignment, balancing, and tyre changes.

In 1983, Mrs. Meera Ravi embarked on a new journey when she married Mr. Ravi BM. But her story wasn’t just about becoming a wife—she was destined to become a trailblazer in the tyre industry.
From the very beginning, she sat beside her husband at the tyre shop, watching,
learning, and absorbing every aspect of the trade. It didn’t take long for her to master the business, proving that she was more than just a supportive partner—she was an entrepreneur in her own right.
By 1990, with confidence, knowledge, and an entrepreneurial spirit, she took a bold step forward and started her tyre store, Tyre Professionals. This was more than just a business venture; it was a statement. Mrs. Meera Ravi became the first woman in India’s tyre industry, breaking barriers in a field dominated by men.
Fully supported by her husband, she built Tyre Professionals into a trusted name, and more than thirty years later, the store continues to thrive. It has evolved over time, once being a Bridgestone Select outlet and now operating as a Continental Tyres store, adapting and growing with the industry.

Nikhil's passion for cars and bikes started at a young age, naturally leading him to join the Madhus legacy. Growing up, he was deeply involved in the business, witnessing his parents’ dedication and sacrifices, which shaped his appreciation for the brand.
When Nikhil joined Madhus, he was encouraged to think creatively. His innovative ideas led to the introduction of new services like bike wheel balancing, road force balancing, and AC recharging, ensuring Madhus stayed ahead of the curve.
Nikhil also gained hands-on expertise in the services Madhus is known for, earning respect from technicians for his leadership. In 2019, he made a bold decision to move the original Madhus Tyre Centre to a larger, state-of-the-art location in Wilson Garden, transforming the business.
The new centre quickly became a success, offering India’s best tyre retail experience, complete with a luxurious customer lounge and a heritage display. Nikhil’s vision redefined the tyre retail industry, blending innovation and exceptional customer experience, making Madhus a symbol of legacy, passion, and relentless commitment to excellence.
